About Me

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.   I adhere to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.  I have regular supervision to review and reflect upon my counselling practice, as well as a commitment to my continuing professional development through further training.

I have a Foundation degree and BA (Hons) degree in Person-centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Warwick.  To meet the requirements of this BACP accredited training course I had personal therapy myself and completed my training hours by volunteering as a counsellor within an employee counselling service and within a local hospice.

In addition to working with individuals affected by illness and bereavement, together with the associated challenges and difficulties which loss and grief can cause, I am also particularly experienced in working with individuals affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and baby loss, as well as anxiety during pregnancy.

I have experience in working with clients with a wide range of concerns and issues including:

Illness
Bereavement
Loss
Grief
Loneliness
Family and relationship difficulties
Anxiety
Depression
Stress
Health related difficulties
Low self-esteem
Work related difficulties

Please contact me if you have any questions about how I work or if you would like to arrange to meet with me.
